The first thing you notice at Hotel Yellowstone isn’t the lobby or the design details—it’s the view. From its elevated location just outside Jackson Hole, the property looks straight across the valley floor toward the Grand Tetons. It’s the kind of panorama that makes people pause mid-thought, taking in the scale before anything else.

“Very few properties in the area can match these breathtaking views,” says Logan Miller, General Manager of Hotel Yellowstone. “They’re completely unobstructed, and it’ll never get old.”

For Miller, who relocated from the Caribbean after working at a luxury resort on the island of Anguilla, the transition felt less like a departure and more like a shift in perspective. “It’s equally as beautiful here,” he says. “It’s just a different vantage point.”

That sense of perspective defines Hotel Yellowstone. The property opened in August 2024 after a complete transformation of the original footprint. While the structure’s bones remain, nearly everything else was reimagined. “The property was rebuilt from the studs up,” Miller explains. “It’s fully modern and technologically advanced, but the main focus was creating a calm, relaxed mountain escape that truly celebrates the setting it’s on.”

Spread across four acres just 10 to 15 minutes outside the main town of Jackson Hole, the hotel’s 36 all-suite accommodations feel intentionally removed from the usual rhythms. “Most resorts here are either in town or right at the mountain,” Miller says. “Our escape is elevated, private, and intimate. That really sets us apart.”

The adults-only concept—the first of its kind in the area—was initially met with curiosity. But guest response has been overwhelmingly positive. “People weren’t sure how it would fare at first,” Miller explains. “Now, it’s one of the things guests appreciate most. It allows us to be more refined and intentional in every detail.”

That intention is felt immediately upon entering a suite. Fireplaces anchor each room, while design elements pull from the American Mountain West through a modern lens—AntlerWorx light fixtures, subtle nods to fly fishing and wildlife, and art sourced from celebrated regional photographers. “There are a lot of log-cabin-style properties in the Tetons,” Miller says. “Here, it’s about recognizing our location with a luxurious and refreshed tone.”

One of the hotel’s most striking features lies just beyond the suites. The heated infinity pool, framed by floor-to-ceiling glass, opens directly to the Tetons. “Especially in summer, when the windows are open, you’re completely immersed in the landscape,” Miller shares. “It’s stunning.” The experience shifts with the seasons, just as dramatically as the landscape itself. “In winter, there’s a calm that’s almost hard to describe,” he adds. “I went snowshoeing in the National Park and experienced a level of quiet I’d never known—the snow absorbs every sound.”

While Hotel Yellowstone is designed to feel like a refuge, it also serves as a gateway to the region’s outdoor experiences. Guests can explore wildlife tours, snowmobiling routes, hiking trails, and the nearby National Parks before returning to the hotel’s serenity. Complimentary ski shuttles help bridge the gap between adventure and retreat. “You get the best of both worlds,” Miller says. “Jackson Hole is such an activity-driven destination, and then you come back here—feeling grounded to end your day.”

Hospitality at Hotel Yellowstone is guided by a philosophy of attentiveness without intrusion. Guests receive a text before arrival, connecting them with a concierge for the duration of their stay. In-room iPads control lighting, fireplaces, blinds, and a signature “goodnight” setting that dims lights, closes blackout curtains, and prepares the room for rest. “Luxury isn’t just about how a place looks,” Miller says. “It’s about genuine care, consistency, and making sure the experience matches the beauty of the property.”

Nowhere is that philosophy more evident than in the bed itself. “At the end of the day, hospitality boils down to heads in beds,” Miller states. “Everything else is wonderful, but the bed has to be exceptional.” Guests frequently ask about the bedding, and the answer is always the same. “We’re proud to say we use Frette,” he adds. “It’s the pinnacle of luxury, and it makes a huge impact on how guests remember their stay.”

That impact has been tangible. Miller recalls one guest who requested website links to recreate the exact hotel bed experience. “He wanted to recreate the entire bed at home—from the frame to the Frette linens,” he says with a laugh.

Just over a year since opening, Hotel Yellowstone has already built a loyal following. Some guests have returned four or five times, a testament not just to the views or the design, but to how the hotel makes people feel. “That’s the legacy we hope to create,” Miller concludes. “A place where luxury feels calm, intentional, and deeply connected to both the guest and the landscape.”
